On a night when the race for Governor swung back and forth, voters gave a resounding YES to Question 4 which will give more than one million workers access to paid sick time on the job.
MAHA endorsed Question 4, our staff and volunteers collected signatures to help get it on the ballot, and our volunteers made thousands of calls over the last few weeks to urge MAHA members and graduates to vote yes. Nearly 60% of voters statewide supported earned sick time and, in Boston, nearly 75% voted yes.
MAHA congratulates Governor-elect Charlie Baker, Attorney General-elect Maura Healey, and Treasurer-elect Deb Goldberg. We look forward to working with each of them to help more low and moderate income homebuyers access the best mortgages and to close the racial homeownership gap in Massachusetts.
Your vote on November 4th will not only shape the political landscape, but shape the quality of life for you and your family for the next four years and beyond.
