The Building
MAHA's new Homeownership University will be built at our current location of 1803 Dorchester Avenue.
MAHA offices and classrooms will occupy the top two floors, and we will lease the ground floor as retail space to an appropriate tenant. The project will follow EPA recommendations for "green" construction, and includes a demonstration room, equipped with energy-saving appliances and information on conservation, recycling and healthy homes.

The Site
Dorchester Avenue is one of Boston's great boulevards, running north/south from South Boston to Milton, and accessible by T and bus. A short walk from Codman Square, MAHA's present and future site is three-tenths of a mile from the Red Line's Ashmont station.
The neighborhood is a combination of office, retail, industrial and residential properties. Home to MAHA for ten years, our diverse urban neighborhood will benefit from increased foot traffic generated by our homebuyer and commercial tenants, plus an enhanced retail presence.
Architects and Contractors
The architectural firm of Studio G Architects was selected from a pool of excellent candidates to help turn our mission and goals into bricks and mortar.
The New England Regional Council of Carpenters has generously agreed to donate the labor to "panelize" the floors and walls (both interior and exterior) through its apprentice-training program.
MAHA has selected Lee Kennedy Co. to be our general contractor on this important neighborhood project.
